This engaging and entertaining book takes a
humorous, but detailed, look at one of the things we all take
for granted every day: the Weather Forecast. The easy-to-understand
book with glossary takes you behind the scenes and reveals
the secrets involved in weather forecasting, from TV news
to the Internet. After all, the #1 reason people watch a local
TV newscast is for the weather, and one of the top five websites
in the world is built for weather data!
Author Tony Pann has a Bachelor of Science
degree in Meteorology from Northern Illinois University and
the AMS Seal of Approval. He has worked with WUSA 9 in Washington,
D.C. since October, 2001. Before that, he spent eight years
at WBAL in Baltimore, and also worked at WCBS in New York.
Tony has been seen on the nationally-aired NBC "Weekend Today
Show" and the "Weekend Early Show" on CBS. Tony's wife, Mary
Ellen, is also a TV meteorologist, working at FOX 43 in York,
PA. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book support
